When we moved from Canada to America last December, it meant the end of my job at the local libraries. Although, I really liked it, I did not hesitate for a sec when the love of life got ‘the offer he could not refuse.’ and proposed the move. And indeed, it was a good decision, we love living here.
I started working at the age of 16 and nor my studies or career made any logical sense. I had serious jobs as a RN and Child therapist where I put my heart and soul in. Studied languages for a while, had quaint jobs like doll maker (a great success but not profitable) and Heritage Dutch language instructor (fun but definitely not cut out to be a teacher) or horrible jobs as a telemarketer (only for three weeks and I do apologize to the whole universe for that). And there were more jobs…
The love of my live is happy that at least, I am consistent in my choice of husband!
(Ha, easy, he is incredible!)
So every Monday morning the workweek starts, with him driving of to work, energetic and full of plans as usual. And Charley and I are of in my little car. For 10 minutes, we join the heavy commuters traffic of Cincinnati on the highway that separates our little division from this beautiful park.
And yes, I still feel guilty when I see so many pale, grumpy faces and me, singing along with the radio with a happy dog in the back. When I do see a cheerful commuter I always have the urge to wave!
So for all the Monday Morning commuters, here is Kate Bush with the ultimate song for in the car ♬♬♬
