“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
Every twenty years or so, the Arctic air reaches Cincinnati and so it did a few weeks ago. The world was beautiful!
Eens in the twintig jaar, bereikt de koude poollucht Cincinnati. Zo ook een paar week geleden. De wereld zag er prachtig uit!
Love and Liefs, Johanna.
Winter definitely has its own beauty. I love your photos. The last one of the tree is my favorite! 🙂
Thanks Linda, I love that little tree looking like a part of a fairy tale.
I’ve never seen that Lewis Carroll quote before! It is just beautiful–what a perfect image for winter. And your photos bring it to life!
Thanks for your kind words…as always!
Beautiful photos, I love the way the house light glows against the snow! Winter snows are truly wonderful when all is quiet and pristine…it’s the wild storms that get me!
Well, a nice storm when you have nowhere to go can be quite cozy. For me, it is freezing rain that gets me full of chagrin;0)
I like your winter photos, very nice, Annie
Thanks Annie!
Beautiful mood in your photos, Johanna!
