‘You got to have smelt a lot of mule manure before you can sing like a hillbilly.’ -Hank Williams

So we drove on and ended up in Nashville where we spent a couple of days . What a fantastic town that is!

There is music everywhere, Country and Blues. We love Bluegrass!

Overal klinkt muziek, country en blues. We houden erg van Bluegrass!

The whole atmosphere is so different and and an absolute joy.

De hele atmosfeer is zo anders en zo ongelooflijk leuk.

During the day, we visited the beautiful Ryman Auditorium and made these photos.

Of course, we saw the Grand Ole Opry show in the evening but decided not to bring the camera but to focus on the show.

Oh, boy, did we regret that.

There is nothing else to it…we have to go back to Nashville;0)

Love and Liefs, Johanna.

    • How nice it is, to discover that blog friends have the same interests! What is your favorite performer? I am always moved by Ralph Stanley and although not pure Blue Grass, Gillian Welch is just wonderful !

  1. I’ve never been to Nashville but my husband loves it there! Do you know the bluegrass band The Gibson Brothers? They are from here and we saw them last week at the local college–amazing!

  2. Well, I started my day perfect because I listened to the Gibson Brothers! I had not heard of them and picked out a few songs to listen to: Now I am baking breakfast pancakes and singing ♬♬♬walking back toMemphis ♬♬♬ Thank you Kerry (and husband of course;0)) ♥ Johanna
