Hoe was jullie weekend?

We went to the Cincinnati Zoo for the first time. A great place to visit!

The layout and the gardens of the park are beautiful. The staff so kind and than of course the animals. They looked relaxed in their spacious quarters and well looked after. And the Zoo is still developing more and better spaces for the animals, like an African Savannah.

We started early in lovely, crisp, fall weather. It was Halloween Weekend and by the time the Zoo got crowded with cute little pirates, princesses and wizards and their parents, it was time for us, Empty Nesters to leave ;0)  We definitely will go there again.

  1. The animals definitely look relaxed and happy in their spaces! Your photos are great!

Our city’s zoo was very badly damaged by the flood this summer, but it is finally up and running again and will soon host their annual festival of lights for Christmas. Some animals have died recently, however, which is very sad. Not sure if it has to do with the stress of the flood, or what. They also had to move some animals to other zoos – the elephants are gone now and a few others.
